e-Chhawani Portal has launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Garu on 16th February 2021. This is an online digital platform that gives Online Municipal services across India. The main objective behind introducing the e- Chhawani website is to provide Online Municipal services to the twenty lakh people across sixty-two cantonment boards. 

On 16th February 2021, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Garu has introduced the new Programme in the presence of Defence Chief staff General Rawat Garu in Delhi state. e-Chhawani Portal is an Online digital Multi-Tenancy central platform.

After successful launching, the Portal, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Garu said that citizens who are living in Cantonment areas should register their names through this website & raise complaints against civil issues and solve the major or Minor problems while sitting at their home. Citizens should not go anywhere to complain regarding their problems in the cantonment areas, he added.

Our government will take an action regarding the major or minor issues in your areas and resolve the problem to improve the ease of living of people, he added. Through this portal, all cantonment area citizens can get the municipal services-related documents such as trade license, sewerage connection application form, etc, Singh said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Garu has clearly explained that the e-Chhawani website is a step towards smart governance and it will give Citizen centric services to the people who are staying in the Cantonment areas across India. The government of India has specially designed the e-Chhawani Portal for the Residents, not Cantonment to solve the municipal and other issues in their respective places.

Before closing his speech, he thanked all the employees who are working on the e-Chhawani Portal as well as a mobile application. Citizens have one more option to raise the complaint fastly and get a fast resolution from their cantonment board. People can use the Chhawani android and iOS mobile app and submit their complaints and track the status of their complaints.

About eChhawani:

eChhawani Portal is a Multi-Tenancy central Platform. More than sixty-two Cantonment Boards are using this website. This portal will help the people who are living in Cantonment areas to submit their problems. eChhawani will check day to day activities of their Cantonment Boards.

Through the eChhawani Portal, citizens can avail of different Online services such as Trade licenses, Birth certificates, Death certificates, Water and Sewerage connection facilities, an Online Challan payment system, etc. Not only Public Services offered by this Portal but also other Civic services also provided by Cantonment Boards.

The Process to download the eChhawani mobile app Online:

1st Step: First, Citizens should visit the Playstore and type the echhawani app or Go here

2nd Step: Click on the Install button and Download the echhawani app.

3rd Step: Then, People can raise the Complaint or use the Municipal & Civic Services online by login into the mobile application.
