History of JNTUH:
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad is the first technological University initiated through State Legislation and by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 2nd October 2nd, 1972. After 36 years of its existence, the Government of Andhra Pradesh established the existing one into four universities.
Then, the government passed the Act of State Legislature No. 30 dated September 2008. JNTUH is in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. Four constituent engineering colleges are in Hyderabad, Kondagattu (Jagithyal), Manthani, and Sultanpur (Medak dist.) The University issues engineering programs in 24 disciplines and B Pharmacy at the UG level, an Integrated 5-year dual degree Master’s Program.
The program includes 68 Masters Programme, M Pharmacy in 11 specializations, and M.Sc. in 10 disciplines. Four hundred and twenty-three affiliated colleges are under the umbrella of JNTUH that is cross the Telangana State. Every year, 3.50 lakh students enroll in technical courses. Besides technological studies, the University imparts management and humanities courses.
