UP Free Laptop Yojana: In Uttar Pradesh, the free laptop Yojana was initiated by former CM of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav. Although losing the election to BJP, the free laptop Yojana still continues under the Uttar Pradesh CM, Mr. Yogi Adityanath. The emergence of Covid 19 a year and a half ago has disturbed the education system in UP.

The regular activity of education in schools, colleges, and Universities got disrupted. The closure of the educational system in UP and frequent lockdowns and curfews has brought education to a standstill.

With the prevailing situation in UP, the BJP party in governance chose the digital platform learning process. On April 16, 2020, Yogi Adityanath rolled out a 5 step process of e-learning for students who are in various levels of education.

UP Free Laptop Yojana 2022 Registration Details:

Begin with higher education, under-graduation, post-graduation, and allied professional courses at the undergraduate level and above. UP was the first state to implement virtual learning in the field of education with the disruption of Covid 19.

However, in the year 2021, the Government of UP decided to distribute free laptops for the 10th & 12th passed students.

Allotted Budget to Distribute Free Laptops:

C.M of the Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath launches UP free Laptop scheme for students of Uttar Pradesh who are studying 10, and 12 class. This facility is extended to the students who are studying in polytechnic institutes and ITI students as well. The meritorious students who have scored 65 percent in their academics are selected for the free laptop.

The most important feature of the program is, the distribution of laptops is confined to the UP students only. It means a recipient of the laptop must be a permanent resident of UP. The UP Government has set a budget of INR 1800.00 crore for the successful execution of the project.

Under this scheme, the Government plans to distribute as many as 23 lakh laptops to meritorious students. The initiation of the scheme to inculcate the technological applications to the advancement in the field of education.

How to apply for Free Laptop Yojana Online?

1st Step: To apply for the Uttar Pradesh Free Laptop scheme, students should visit the UP govt official portal i.e. www.up.gov.in.

2nd Step: Once the government of Uttar Pradesh Home page gets loaded, applicants should find the ‘Latest state govt schemes’ Section.

3rd Step: An applicant will have to click on the “UP Free Laptop Scheme” link.

4th Step: Once the Free Laptop page gets opened up on the screen, applicants should hit on the Apply Now button.

5th Step: The registration sheet will get opened up. An applicant can fill in the name, address, age, etc, and also upload the desired documents.

7th Step: At the end, the applicants will have to re-check the registration form and submit it by hitting the Submit button.

Free Laptop Digital Support:

The Adityanath government promptly reacts to the Covid 19 pandemic and designs a five-step digital learning process. The focus was on every level of education and for primary-level children.

The government signed up with innovators in the digital industry and created animated forms of learning for children of age group 3 to 8 years.

The five-step learning program makes the parents the partners in the learning process. It means, making parents involved to become teachers and connecting teachers and parents over WhatsApp

Thousands of groups on WhatsApp are formed to benefit from the interaction between parents and teachers. Creating a pool of web-based content, the government enables the children to view Uttar Pradesh (DD-UP) for education and benefiting those with no smartphones.

In places where Internet connectivity is not possible, the Adityanath government makes use of All India Radio, AIR, and other radio channels to communicate education. The students can make it a medium of self-learning process.

Experts say that the digital platform brings about a sea change in the learning process. Children, when being exposed to the digital learning process are apt to seek self-learning techniques at a much younger age.
