Selection List Based on Question/ Answers Application:
In the selection of citizens for the self-employed scheme, earlier a task force was involved and conducted oral examinations. But this took a lot of time and several cases remained pending. The main reason was that district collectors were busy with local administrative activities and hardly found time to show commitment towards the PMEGP.
In order to overcome the delay in the selections, this year, the entire process has been made online. A test will be conducted online and it shall be for 100 marks, out of which 50 marks is the qualifying level. These applications obtained from the online applicants will be forwarded to the funding agencies, such as banks.
In the preview of the state, Khadhi Village Industries Commission (KVIS) shall be the authorized signatory. Khadhi Village Industries Commission Board and District Industries Center (DIC) shall be in charge of the District-level operations (DLO).
In the application, the applicant will have to answer questions and the answers are awarded marks between 2 and 5. The sum total is calculated and put against 100 marks. Hence, the approval of the loan amount for the manufacturing/ service sector is through intellectual caliber.
