IREPS Login: The Indian Railways E-procurement System (IREPS) is one of the largest networks developed by the Indian Railways to manage the procurement of Indian railway construction factories. Every year a huge amount of product material is purchased by Indian Railways and it is as much as INR 70000.00 crores.
In the process, the Unified Vendor Approval Module, UVAM, is a digitalized initiative of Indian Railways has been initiated. The manufacturing unit in India procures Railway equipment through private vendors and the process of procurement is completely digitalized.

Another interesting news is the integration of IREPS with Government eMarketplace and by doing it, the Indian Railways will able to save thousands of man-hours in the procurement process. Mr. Piyush Goyal, Union Minister, says that the GeM portal has the capacity to support the activities of the Indian Railways.
The technology on GeM can function far effectively and the seamless GeM digital system will flag all needs of Railway Procurement. In fact, the operability of elaborate tendering, advertisements, bids, bid opening, the reverse auction will give seamless results.
The union minister further remarked that if any supplier or vendor sells bad quality goods, the company shall be blacklisted. And such companies shall not be permitted to do business with any other government system. He emphasized that the government system does not entertain that anymore. In time to come, GeM shall move from goods and services to contracts medium.
On Migrating to GeM – Railways Save 10 to15 Percent:
In an announcement at the GeM-CII National Public Procurement Conclave 2020, with reference to commerce, Mr. Piyush Goyal said that we do believe that with the induction of the Railway E-Procurement System on the GeM then, the railways will save as much as 10 to 15 percent. And, this should figure to approximately, INR 10000.00 crores.
Railways do buy 98 percent of their goods and services in India. And with the transformation to the GeM platform in the next 8 to 12 months, will help Indian Railways save huge amounts running in thousands of crores. In addition, making the system integrate into GeM, makes the procurement process transparent, efficient, and faster. However, for the time being, the entire process of the procurement of the goods and services does progress on the Indian Railways E-Procurement System.
IREPS Login Process:
1. Visit the IEPS Official website i.e. https://www.ireps.gov.in/.
2. On the Home page, the User must hit on the Login Option.
3. Then, the Users will get the seven options on the dropdown.
They are:
- e-Tender
- e-Auction Sale
- IMMS
- New IMMS (UDM)
- Vendor Approval (VVAM)
- Helpdesk User
- Inspection Module
4. User can select their wising option and Login page using the User Name, Password.
Submission of Registration Request:
1st Step: Insert the digital signing certificate into a USB drive, and click on proceed button.
2nd Step: Click on the DSC and then click the select button to enter the registration page
3rd Step: Click the constitution tab to enter the details of the firm.
4th Step: Next, enter the approvals tab, that supports approvals/ Registrations obtained from the statutory bodies/approving agencies.
5th Step: Next, the statutory tab refers to statutory information. enter the GST, PAN details, and Registration details.
6th Step: Then, Click the upload document tab to upload documents.
7th Step: Sign and Submit tab, for final submission of the request.
Check the Status of Request:
1. Activate the radio button on the View status of my registration request.
2. Enter the request ID
3. Click the proceed button
Note: To seek approval from the railway electronic procurement department on the registration request it takes about 3-4 working days. If the information is rightly furnished by the vendor, then an email confirming the registration shall be sent along with login credentials.
Reply to Query Raised by EPS Admin:
The vendor may get a message, stating a query is raised by the helpdesk.
1. Select the reply to query option.
2. Vendor must verify credentials using a digital signature certificate.
3. On the query, the vendor will find the information.
4. Vendor will have to provide a reply.
