IREDA Whistle Blower Portal: The government of India with the motto ‘Energy for Ever’ began a non-financial institution that extends financial help to promote the development of new and renewable sources of energy. In addition, efficiency and conservation processes are involved in it. To address these facts, the government has set up a public limited government company known as Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) in 1987.

To improve the operations of the organization’s more efficient as well as effective functioning, the IREDA has launched a whistle-blower portal. The reasons behind it are valid, if one looks past, IREDA was awarded Mini Ratna (category 1) status in 2015 by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

The MNRE has been notified as a Public Financial Institution (PFI) under section 4A of the Companies Act, 1956 and coined as an NFBC with the RBI.  To upheaval the values of the company, it highlights the whistle-blower portal, a part of the efforts put forth for zero tolerance of corruption. The program was introduced during ‘Vigilance Awareness Week 2021.’

Assistant Secretary, CVC Highlights Whistle Blower Policy:

The employees of IREDA can address the concerns in relation to fraud, abuse of power, corruption, etc and the portal is an initiation of the IT team of the company. Mr. Pradip Kumar Das, CMD, IREDA explains the whistle-blower portal is an effort to create a zero-tolerance of corruption. With a view to maintain the reiterating of good and clean governance policy, Mr. Das emphasized the essence of transparency and procedural fairness.

Dr. Praveen Kumari Singh Additional Secretary (CVC) congratulated them for introducing the IREDA portal. As a part of the ongoing program, the Additional Secretary commenced an interactive session on the whistle-blower policy. In which, she addressed queries that were raised and motivated the participants to work as ambassadors of CVC to prevent corruption.

IREDA Employees Get New Experience:

IREDA released the latest issue of the vigilance journal ‘Pahal’. The week-long program that went on from 26th October 2021 to 2nd November 2021, had many interactive sessions. The discussion lasted on the interaction with customers & vendors for redressal of their seminars, workshop, speech competition, and quiz were conducted. These activities went along the Vigilance Awareness Week 2021 titled under the theme, Independent India @75 Self Reliance with Integrity.

Vigilance awareness week 2021 with a tab line Independent India@75:Self Reliance with Integrity invites organizations and individuals to pledge for a corrupt-free nation. The link on the webpage directs the user to the ‘Integrity Pledge’ page. The user can take pledges in an easy manner. The user must enter the basic details, select the pledge language, read and take the pledge, in three simple steps.

1. On the page, the user can find two independent buttons, as a Citizen, or As an Organisation. Depending upon the nature of the user one must click either of both buttons and enter the next webpage.

2. The basic details include Selecting a Name and entering the name correctly. Click on the gender bullet and select the ID proof, which could be a PAN card, Voter card, passport, and others. Enter the card number. The user must enter the date of birth, pin code, state, district, and email, mobile. Then click on the button that states proceed for language selection.

3. A new webpage shall display and the user will have to select the chosen language from dropbox and then click on the proceed to read and take pledge button. A new webpage shall display and the user is allowed to read the oath and further progress to obtain a ‘certificate of commitment.’ Click to either download or send the certificate link to mobile, or email.

1st step: In order to log in to the Whistle Blower Portal Login, users must visit the official website i.e. https://www.ireda.in/home.

2nd step: On the Home page of IREDA, Users must click on the Login Option and select the Customer Portal link.
