Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme has designed by the Kerala govt for women who belong to Scheduled Tribes. The scheme issues a loan amount up to Rs.50,000 and out of which Rs. 25000.00 is the subsidy provided by Kerala Government.

The select community of women are backward and segregated women. In our society, the segregated women are widows, uneducated, women, and divorced women. The Government of Kerala wants to encourage dissociated women of society to get associated with various walks of life.

To bring those women to the normal state of living and socially recognizable, the government plans to provide loans as business start-ups. The government of Kerala wants the ‘segregated women’ belonging to become self-dependent.

To make the scheme successful, the government has set up the machinery to guide and enable them to promote their businesses. The Women who take the loan support from this scheme will have to follow rules and regulations set in by the Government of Kerala.

The entire process of enrolment for the scheme is online. It is a wonderful scheme that involves identifying segregated women and enabling them to become self-reliant. In due process, essential skills are imparted in them to have a higher success rate in the business.

Below, one can find in detail, the scheme provides the beneficiary with benefits and features of the Kerala Saranya self-employment scheme, the online application procedure for the enrolment of the ST category women. Beneficiary Needs Not to Provide Security to Financial Agencies:

The loan benefits are extended to start-ups as well to individuals and joint business owners. A beneficiary who takes a loan needs not to provide any financial security. The beneficiary needs to repay the loan amount to the financial institution.

The repayment amount of the loan will have only a loan component as it is an interest-free loan. The beneficiary will get a loan up to Rs.50000 and for an additional loan above it, certain conditions are to be met. In the expansion phase of business, the beneficiary must contribute 10 percent of the loan amount.

At the time of loan repayment, the beneficiary will have to make 3 percent interest at a flat rate. Businesses that are well-to-do, can apply for fresh loans after making repayment of 50 percent of the loan. The new loan can be up to 80 percent of the original loan amount.

Rules and Regulations & eligibility Criteria:

  • For the applicability of the Scheme, the woman should have enrolled her details in the employment exchange.
  • The women beneficiaries should be between 18 years to 55 years.
  • They can be unemployed widows, divorced, deserted, unwedded mothers, of Scheduled tribes.
  • The Scheme checks for the financial capacity of the segregated women.
  • Their annual family income should not exceed INR.100000 Above all, the educated beneficiaries having professional and technical qualifications will find higher weightage for business loans.  

Government Official Mechanism involves in Scheme Monitoring:

The beneficiary is under the control of the Director of employment. The beneficiary installment payments are monitored by the Employment office. A beneficiary may fail to make a loan repayment for three consecutive installments.

Then, the employment exchange issues two reminders to the beneficiary. Still, when a beneficiary doesn’t initiate payments then revenue recovery action shall take place.

In which, the loan amount with interest shall be recovered. There may be instances where beneficiaries do take loans and don’t utilize them for a business. In such cases, the beneficiaries are made to pay complete loans as the scheme subsidiaries shall be lifted.

1st Step: Kerala state women Beneficiaries who want to apply for this scheme must visit the Official website i.e. https://employment.kerala.gov.in/.

2nd Step: Once the National Employment Service, Kerala Home page gets loaded in, applicants should click on the “online services.” Option.

3rd Step: Once hitting the Online service Option, applicants will get the Registration for the job seeker page. An applicant must click on the “Register as a job seeker.” Option.

6th Step: On the application form, beneficiaries should fill in the following information like name, date of birth. In addition to, mobile number, required login ID, Password, Email address, Aadhaar Number, and Captcha.

7th Step: Once the application is filled with the above-stated details, click on ‘Create Account.

8th Step: Now, applicants should come back to the Home page, and Cick on the login option.
