RMEWF Financial Assistance for Children/Widows of Ex-Service Men (ESM) Education scheme has introduced by the Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat (KSB) board in the year 1981. After launching this scheme, the KSB Board has sanctioned Rs.15/- per month for a maximum of three ESM children for their Education.
In the year 2011, the KSB board has revised this scheme and started to provide financial assistance up to Rs.1000/- per month for a maximum of two Children. Under this scheme, the Ex-servicemen Children/ Widows will get a scholarship amount of Rs.1000/- per month up to Graduation and Post Graduation Degree.
RMEWF Financial Assistance for Children/Widows of ESM Education
Objective:
The main motto of this scheme is to grant financial support for Ex-service Men dependent Children or their widows up to Graduation and Post Graduation Degree. And this scheme benefits will be applicable to the top raker of Havildar in the Army / Navy/ India Air force.
Financial Support:
All Eligible Ex-Service Men Children will get a scheme amount of one thousand rupees per month up to a maximum of 2 dependent children from Class 1st to 12th and Under Graduation Degree. In the previous academic year, the KSB Board has granted Rs.1000/- per month for all ESM Children and widows. The Widows who wish to pursue two years post-Graduate Degree will get scheme amount per month.
Eligibility Conditions:
1. To avail this scheme Grant, applicants must be Ex-servicemen Children or Widows.
2. The ESM Children must have completed the previous year’s academic year with pass marks.
3. The applicants must not get any allowances or state and Central Govt Scholarships.
4. The Child should get a Rank of Havildar or any Equivalent.

Necessary Documents to be Submitted:
1. ESM Children Photograph
2. Discharge Book or Document
3. Zila Sainik Board (ZSB) issued a Copy of the I-Card.
4. Ex-servicemen Certificate
5. Active Bank Account details and IFSC Code of the Children or Parent.
Scheme Payment Grant Procedure:
After submitting the RMEWF Financial Assistance for Education of Children/Widows of ESM application form, the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO) will check the complete application form and send it to the approval authority.
They will re-check the details and send the same applicant’s Bank account and IFSC Code details to the payment department. The Payment Department will grant the scheme amount monthly base via ECS or DBT modes.
