Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal: Punjab Government is promoting the Punjab scholarship program for post-matric students. The scheme benefits those who aspire to pursue higher education. The government organizes scholarship schemes for various sections of society and, students can avail themselves of the benefit on the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal.
Every year, the government releases scholarships and, the post-matric students will have to apply for them. Punjab government mounts the information on the web portal and keeps it open between November and January every year. The Department of Welfare of Scheduled Caste & Backward Classes, Punjab provides scholarships for SC and OBC students.

Punjab Government & JAC Will Follow-up Centre for Funds:
A couple of months before, in June 2021, the Punjab government and the Joint Association of Colleges, JAC, enter an agreement. It is on the issue of releasing the SC scholarship to the 2017-20 undergraduate students.
The Punjab government assures the JAC to remit a 40 percent payment. To disburse the remaining 60 percent, the Punjab government and JAC shall follow up with the Centre for financial help. In this financial year, 2022-2023, the government shall make a 50 percent payment of that 40 percent commitment. The government shall pay the balance of 50 percent in the next six months to the students of 2017-20 academics.
Punjab Scholarship Registration:
1st step: Open the browser, insert the official website, http://www.scholarships.punjab.gov.in/
2nd Step: A student must enter the homepage and locate the student corner.
3rd Step: The student must click on the student registration link to seek registration for the scholarship.
4th Step: A new page will be on display and, the page for registering Punjab scholarship shall be available.
5th Step: The student must go through the details and Feed the details correctly. Once you complete the details, you need to hit on the submit button.
6th Step: The student can download a softcopy to obtain a hard copy as it can serve as a support for future use.

Post Matric Scheme for SC: If the students of the SC category have a family’s annual income be not more than 4-lakh then, the government will sanction 100 percent college fee reimbursement.
Post Matric Scheme For OBC: The OBC students who want a post-matric scheme must have a family’s annual income of not more than 1,50,000. The fee reimbursement for the OBC students is 100 percent for the current year.
Post Matric Scheme for Minorities: The students of minorities must comply with the following for the reimbursement of scholarship in their account. The student’s family income must be not more than Rs.200,000.
Essential Documents to Apply for a Scholarship:
While applying for a post-metric scholarship, the student must upload a list of documents. Each document stands out as proof for the government of Punjab to disperse the scholarship to their account. Those documents belong to Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Residential Certificate, Bank Passbook (First Page), mark sheets of last qualifying examination, latest passport size photograph, Identity Proof (Aadhaar authentication).
Aadhar Card Authentication:
The government of Punjab arranges to authenticate the Aadhaar card. Its process is simple and, it is available on the home page itself. To check the authentic nature of the student’s Aadhar Card, a student must implement the following procedure.
1st Step: First, Students must visit the Punjab Scholarship Portal i.e. http://www.scholarships.punjab.gov.in, and enter the home page & click the Aadhar Authentication link and view it on a new web page.
2nd Step: The student will have to enter the Aadhar Number, Name, Gender, Captcha code and hit on the authenticate option.
3rd Step: Finally, students will get the Status page on the Computer screen. Few columns in the application are editable and, students can make necessary changes when necessary. They are Name, Father Name, Mother Name, Date of Birth, Religion & Category.

Student Punjab Portal Login:
1. To log in to the Punjab scholarship Portal, a student must enter the official portal.
2. On the Punjab state Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal Homepage, the student will go through the login option and view it on a new page.
3. Next, Students can fulfill the details such as registered User Name, Password, and security code, and log in to the page by tapping the login option.
Application Tracking Status:
1st Step: A student must make a Login into the portal.
2nd Step: The student must click on the Edit-lock-print application.
3rd Step: After that, the student should click on the ‘track status.’ The web page will display the latest status of the application.
