AP TS EWS Certificate: Sri Narendra Modi Government provides 10 percent reservation to the poor people of the forward communities. The Govt takes a decision just 3 months before the 2019 General Elections.
The reservation is put through, an amendment to Article fifteen and Article sixteen of the Constitution. Technically speaking, as per the parliament procedure, the Provision of 10 percent to poor citizens of OC is objectionable. Since the proposed quota will make the reservation levels above 50 percent. That is not permissible in accordance with Justice Indra Sawhney, a Supreme Court Judgement. The Supreme Court Judge marks a limit of 50 percent on the reservations.
AP TS EWS Certificates Apply Online 2022 (Check Application Status):
As per the Central government norms, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state govt has started to issue the EWS reservation Certificates through their Portals. Citizens of AP and TS can able to apply for the EWS Certificates through the TS AP Meeseva Portals and get the certificates Online.
Procedure to amend 10 percent Quota for Poor Citizens of Forwarding Communities:
1. First, the reservations are based on social conditions and not on economic conditions. Still, if the Government wants to make it constitutionally amended then for its implementation, the government shall follow like this.
2. Under Article 368, a Bill must be passed on the floor of two houses by an absolute majority. It means in each house, Rajya Sabha & Lok Sabha, the bill should seek recognition by 50 percent of the total membership. In both houses, the two-thirds majority of members should cast their vote.
Modi Government Extends 10 % Reservation to Poor Citizens of General Category:
In India, the reservations are meant for SC, ST, and OBC categories only. But the Modi Government takes initiative in supporting the needs of poor citizens of the General Category. There was a mixed reaction when the Government initiates this mandate, just three months before the 2019 General Elections.
The Modi Government has shown interest in the EWS of the Country. For the poor people to benefit from the reservation, they will have to seek an economically weaker section (EWS) certificate. This certificate can be obtained online easily. However, they will have to satisfy rules and regulations set by the Government.
Conditions to Classify under Economically Weaker Section:
1. The Citizen’s annual income is not more than INR 8 lakh.
2. The Citizen should own agricultural land of less than five hectares.
3. The Citizen should own a home smaller than 1,000 sq. ft.
4. In a notified municipality, the citizen residential plot should be below 109 yards.
In a non-notified municipality, the citizen residential plot should be below 209 yards
Mode of Income Calculation for EWS Certificate:
In evaluating the income of the EWS certificate, all Family members from the single-family are also added. Hence, it becomes important while making a calculation for the EWS Certificate.
1. The Candidate’s income or Parents Income is for making income calculations.
2. Candidate’s income or their husband/wife.
3. Candidate’s house rent.
Required Documents to be Submitted:

AP TS EWS Certificate Apply Offline Mode:
1st Step: To apply for the EWS Certificates offline, First, applicants can get the application form offline at the shop, or office, or download it from a web portal.
2nd Step: After getting the application form, Applicants should fill in the details & attach the above-stated documents and submit them at the nearest meeseva Centers.
3rd Step: The Meeseva officers will verify the details and provide the acknowledgment letter. Applicants can track their application status using the acknowledgment ID.

2. On the Homepage, applicants can go through the track application Status section.
3. Applicants can enter the application number, captcha code and track the status of their application.
